Face & Body Waxing (Beginners)

Objectives.

This two-day accredited course is for new waxers as a comprehensive introduction to waxing

You will learn to wax the whole body and face safely and efficiently, excluding intimate areas and also learn the National Occupational Standards mapped theory to accompany it.

This intensive course covers the basics through to business skills such as pricing and marketing and inclusivity.

Class Details.

Duration:  Two days (1 theory online, self study)

Venue:  Arrive Blue, Salford M50 2ST

Group workshops: £350 per person (max 2 delegates)
In-house training: £750 (max 2 delegates) + travel

Content.

Theory modules:

• Health and Safety and Code of Practice

• Structure and functions of the skin and hair

• Client consultation, contra-indications, and cautions

• Contra-actions and aftercare

• Retail products and how to retail

• Timing, pricing, and marketing

• Personal safety 

Practical modules:

• Introduction to strip and non-strip waxes and pre/post-waxing products

• Theory recap

• Practical demonstrations and student practical of face, legs, arms, underarms, back, chest and bikini line (whole body excluding intimate)

Accreditation & Insurance.

The Face and Body waxing course is accredited through Professional Beauty Direct.  Upon successful completion of all assessment activities you will be issued with a certificate of achievement, enabling you to obtain insurance to work on the public.

Entry Requirements.

No previous waxing experience required.

Assessment.

Delegates will be assessed by: 

• Online theory modules and written tests

• Completion of in-class exercises

• Tutor observation of practical skills

• Completion of a multiple-choice test paper

• Completion of 6 case studies post training day

Models of all genders are provided for the practical elements of the day. Students may also receive treatment from other students on the day if there is extra time.
